Herbal Medicine

The traditional use of Herbal Med

icine was based on instinct and empirical knowledge and passed down through the ages from mother to daughter and from medicine man to the right disciple.

Today, Herbal Medicine has become a healthy medley of tradition and science. With the science available today, herbs can be analysed for their active constituents and be better understood as to how they work. They can also be standardised which means they have more of the active ingredient concentrated in the remedy.

We offer a range of Herbal Medicine which comes in both liquid and tablet form including supplements, Bach Flowerremedies and herbal ointments and creams. Justin Lovelock (link to his practitioner page please) also has Herbal teas available to balance the body and assist in healing.

Advantage Of Treatment

Herbal Medicine looks at the patient as a whole and prescribes herbs in combinations or alone.

At Southpoint Health we use herbs to support the body’s natural processes with the aim of helping our patient’s physiology return to normal.

Our herbal remedies may be prescribed in stages, i.e. first stage may be to build the patient’s vitality before we look at cleansing and strengthening different systems. We aim at making the weak parts of the body strong in order to help the body cope better in life.

We’ve used Herbal Medicine to help with many conditions, in combination with dietary therapy, nutritional advice and in conjunction with allopathic medicine when required.
