At 21, I fell and fractured my T11 vertebrae in my spine snowboarding and randomly saw an osteopath in London where I was living as a backpacker. I was amazed how effective he was and even more so of the philosophy of a holistic treatment. I enrolled into a remedial massage course in London, gained my qualification and when returned to Australia, enrolled in Osteopathy. I was inspired and am continued to be inspired by the profession as I was then. This set me on a path of learning many different techniques to understand how to allow the body to heal itself. I graduated from UWS in Sydney with Bachelor of Applied Science (Osteopathy) and Masters in Osteopathy in 2007. I continued to take many courses learning as you go from patients and life experience.
I studied cranial, myofascial release, trigger point dry needling, Gua Sha, Reiki, work cover, neuromusculoskeletal rehabilitation, Functional Movement, cupping, pain management, paediatrics and antenatal education.
With the knowledge and experience I have today, I tend to use more gentle techniques with the same philosophy and individual approach and a good listening ear and listening to the body, with greater specificity.
